The unsubscribe or opt out rate is the percentage of email addresses that unsubscribe from your mailing list relative to the total number of email addresses on your list. It will allow you to see your unsubscribe numbers and to calculate the number of unsubscribers using the number of total emails to create an unsubscribe rate. For instance:

A mailing list of 2000 email addresses with 100 unsubscribes in a month

100 / 2000 = .05 or 5% unsubscribe rate
