If your primary aim for buying a computer is just to be able to use the internet then you might be better off buying something specifically designed for this. Unless you really need a huge hard drive and a DVD Rom then there is no point in spending a lot of money on a device that incorporates them. There are a number of devices that you can buy which are great for browsing the internet and which won’t cost you as much as an average computer. So if the main reason you were considering buying a computer is to browse the internet, the following are some ideas of what you could buy instead.

 

- If you just want to be able to access the internet then you may want to consider a small notebook computer instead of a desktop or a laptop. This is the cheapest type of laptop available, and it is designed specifically for web use. A lot of these notebooks can be bought with great battery lives and with reasonable screens. And what’s also great about these notebooks is that they are very portable and light.

 

- There are now devices like the iPad which are good few web browsing. These tend to be a bit more expensive than the notebook computer, but you also get plenty of other great media entertainment options with them so they might be worth considering.

 

- There are also plenty of mobile devices like phones which can be good for web browsing but the downside with these is that they screens tend to be too small. The new Kindle Ebook Reader has a fairly large screen and can be used to browse the web.

 

There are some great options when it comes to devices just to browse the web. So if you want to be able to access the internet you should not just assume that you need a laptop or PC because this could cost you far more than you need to pay.
